クリストファークロスのデビューアルバム「南から来た男」のジャケットはフラミンゴの絵だけで彼の写真はありませんでした。写真無しのせいで、こんな甘いキレイな声なんだから、きっと大ハンサムに違いないと勝手に想像してた人が多かったのですが、いざ写真が公開されると丸顔髭ヅラ、テキサスの田舎で牛の世話をしてるという風情で、がっかりしたなんて声もありました。一時はグラミー賞を受賞して大スターとなりましたが、この歌以降はパッとしてません。
